Belle Vue helps organisations and communities discover their own histories and articulate their heritage in new and exciting ways, making the past more relevant today and for the future.
Using film ensures that heritage projects are collaborative, creative and engaging. We work with our partners and their audiences towards a deep engagement with heritage, both in the making of film and through its final output.
Film can be used to showcase material heritage – highlighting features of aesthetic, architectural, artistic, historic, natural or scientific interest – and filmmaking is particularly rewarding as means to articulate intangible heritage; uncovering hidden histories, collecting oral histories and community memories are all part of what we do. We also research, curate and produce media using archival moving image collections.
Belle Vue stood out from their competitors for their professionalism, enthusiasm and ideas. They were a joy to work with, they went the extra mile at every stage and we couldn’t be more pleased with the engaging, broadcast-quality results.

We have a passion for sharing heritage – in all its forms – through filmmaking. Our work has benefited the people we work with, enabling our partners and their audiences to see their own heritage differently.
